Julia earned her DVM degree from Ross University in 2003. Originally from Connecticut, she practiced for eight years in a large multi-doctor/multi-location practice where she served as both a general practitioner and accepted referrals for acupuncture. In 2016, Julia and her family moved to Vermont to pursue the opportunity to receive further training in Classical Chinese Medicine as well as have more continuity of care with patients and their families.
In 2024, Dr. Chant returned to Connecticut as the full-time chief medical officer of a veterinary hospital but continues to provide acupuncture, veterinary spinal manipulation therapy and herbal medicine one day a month here at Poultney Veterinary Hospital. Her gentle demeanor puts even the most anxious patients at ease and we’re fortunate to be able to continue to provide these services.
